Definitions
In these Terms of Service:
- Bank means Lumora Financial, its affiliates, and authorized service providers.
- Account Holder means any person who has opened or uses an account or any of our products or services.
- KYC means Know Your Customer and anti–money laundering verification we are required to perform by law.
- Services means our banking and financial products, websites, mobile apps, and any related platforms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lumora Financial’s website, mobile applications, or any of our banking services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always published on this page. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Account Opening and Eligibility
To open and maintain an account you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- Provide accurate, complete, and current personal and financial information.
- Complete identity verification (KYC) and any other checks we are legally required to perform.
- Comply with all applicable laws and with our policies, including those related to fraud and prohibited activities.
We may refuse to open an account, or may close or restrict an account, where we are required by law or policy to do so, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Bank, our customers, or the integrity of our systems.
3. Security and Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs using your credentials. You agree to:
- Use a strong, unique password and keep it secure.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access, lost or stolen credentials, or any fraud.
- Keep your contact details and devices up to date and secure.
- Not share your login details or allow anyone else to use your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account without prior notice if we detect or suspect fraud, money laundering, unauthorized access, or other activity that violates these terms or the law. We are not liable for any loss that results from such action when taken in good faith.
4. Banking Services and Fees
Lumora Financial offers checking and savings accounts, cards, loans, wire and ACH transfers, and other financial products. Fees, rates, and terms for each product are disclosed when you apply or in your account agreement. We may change fees and terms as permitted by law; we will give you notice where required. 5. Electronic Communications
By using our services, you consent to receive account-related and legal communications electronically (e.g., statements, notices, disclosures). Electronic delivery has the same legal effect as paper. You must maintain a valid email address and ensure you can receive and read our messages. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting required account communications.
6. Privacy and Data
How we collect, use, and protect your information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services you consent to that processing. We use industry-standard security (including encryption and access controls) and comply with applicable data protection laws.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumora Financial is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits or data) arising from your use of our services, unauthorized access, system failure, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for direct damages is limited as set out in your account agreement and by applicable law.
8. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Any dispute will be resolved in accordance with those laws and with the dispute resolution provisions in your account agreement, where applicable.
